a fragment from my current co+re.parthership exercise; below are several, (almost) randomly chosen notes, visual mainly; these photos were taken in the city of Como today, some without any specific reason, simply in response to the situations encountered, seen, felt in the streets and piazzas of Como … then, they were cropped, pointing at something, asking pictures to say something, asking them to ask (or to answer) questions; juxtapositions below are (almost) random, too; between them are gaps that our imagination, erudition, ignorance and inspiration can (might, should or should not try to) fill in, span or broaden … some of these (visual) texts stick together, forming pairs or chains of meaning; some speak on their own; they can be reshuffled, played with; between are the gaps, open to thought and intervention …
this upload was fast, not to allow (too much of) my own reflection (and bias), but to only table these records and thus provoke thought, questions, to enable new insights
a gap between the two photos - above, Giuseppe Terragni’s Casa del Fascio (the headquarters of local fascist organisation; 1936); and below the Street of Partisans, (which commemorates antifascist liberators of the city of Como and Italy); a gap that shouts, a void that can say a lot, that has to be heard …
here I asked myself … what can she see through that glass, from up there? or, isn’t that just a bust, a blind stone?
